Overview

The course is divided into three academic years during which the student progressively acquires the theoretical and practical notions that will allow them to access the profession of Physiotherapist, as defined by current legislation.
The planned training follows what is established by the didactic planning and the regulation of the course. Attendance is compulsory and the years are considered passed only after having obtained the required credits (CFU) and passing the mandatory tests.
The student requires both theoretical and practical preparation: in fact, both lectures and practical training are provided. Students are guided by qualified tutors during a practical internship, and the training course itself, including common basics, is personalized.
It is possible to attend university abroad in the framework of the Erasmus programs.
At the end of the course, it is expected to discuss a thesis and pass the state exam that takes place in presence of professors and commissioners appointed by the Ministry of Health, MIUR and the most representatives Associations of Health Professions recognized by the Ministry of Health.

The physiotherapist is a healthcare professional qualified to prevent, evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate motor, musculoskeletal, neurological, and visceral dysfunctions at every life cycle stage.
Graduates in Physiotherapy can practice the profession in a wide range of contexts:
Public and private healthcare facilities: hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, RSA (Residenze Sanitarie Assistenziali), RSD (Residenze Sanitarie per Disabili).
National Health Service (SSN) and Regional Health Services (SSR): through employment in accredited facilities, in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation services.
Freelance practice: in private, individual, or associated practices, with the possibility of collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Educational and school settings: support for children with motor or neuromotor disabilities.
Sports clubs and fitness centers: for prevention, functional recovery, and definition of “return to play” of athletes.
Research and training: possibility of continuing with master’s degrees, doctoral programmes, teaching or clinical tutoring activities.
Contractual forms vary based on the context (employee, freelancer, collaboration) and may include assignments in health projects, clinical research, or technological innovation.
